The ability to create and send eSign requests with the legacy or previous version of the letter generator, as seen within aged engagement letters, is no longer available. Within the previous version of letters, by clicking on the eSign icon, you will notice that a window pops up stating that the eSign request is unavailable.
Follow these steps for a workaround!
1. Select Close.
2. Click on Send to.
3. Select Contact files.
4. A message will appear confirming the letter is now in the contact files.
5. Click Save and exit.
6. Navigate to the Files tab in the contact record.
7. Click the blue new file banner to click and drag the letter to Files.
8. Right-click on the PDF of the letter and select eSign request.
From this point, follow the steps in this article to create and send an eSign request from a contact record.
