Generate & Send Bulk Client Requests

Client requests can be created and sent in bulk using the client list in Canopy. It can help save time so you can focus on additional things you're working on!

Important Note: When sending Bulk Client Requests, the notification will go to all contacts invited to the client portal.

Create and Send Bulk Client Requests

1. To get started, click Clients on the global navigation bar

2. Select Client List

3. Select clients to create bulk client requests by clicking the in-line checkbox

Another Option: To speed up the selection process, we recommend Filtering the Client List‍ to fit your needs and then clicking on the checkbox in the column headers to select all clients in that filter group.

4. Click on the Bulk client requests icon in the top right corner

5. Input a Request name for the client request

6. As needed, click Template to select a client request template to apply

7. The Client badge updates to show how many clients were selected

  • Any clients that cannot be sent a client request are listed below the Client badge.

  • Clients who cannot be sent a client request will have the client request saved as a draft.

  • Clicking the "# Clients" will display which client(s) the request will be created as a draft for

8. Change Priority Status

9. Add Description

10. Use the Assignee(s) dropdown to assign team members to the client requests

11. In the Client due date box, select a due date using the date picker

12. As needed, add a reminder to client requests

13. As needed, choose to Add automation

14. Click Send now to send the bulk client request to the selected clients

Alternatively, click Save as draft to save the bulk client requests as a draft.

You'll see a message at the bottom of your screen letting you know that your bulk client requests are being created with the option to view in the activity log

  • If you select to "Send Now" the activity log will show "Created in Bulk" and "Sent in Bulk" (two line items)

  • If you select to "Save as draft" the activity log will show "Created in Bulk"

Send Draft Client Requests in Bulk

1. To get started, click Work on the global navigation bar.

2. Click Task List

3. Filter the Status column to "Draft" and click "Apply"

4. Select all drafts by holding down the ctrl key and clicking each request or holding down the shift key and selecting the very last request.

5. Right-click and select "Send Client Request"

Canopy will confirm that you would like to send the Client Request to the selected clients.

6. Hit Send
