Bulk Action Types
Below is a quick overview of the available bulk actions and what each one does.
Edit Task Status in Bulk
To update the status of multiple tasks at once, select Edit Status from the bulk actions menu.
Bulk status changes are only available for compatible task types. In the Task Type column, you'll see types such as Task, Task w/ Subtasks, Client Request, Questionnaire, eSign Request, and Notice.
If you select incompatible task types—such as a Client Request and a Task w/ Subtasks—the Edit Status option will be disabled.
Compatible combinations include:
Task, Task w/ Subtasks, and eSign Request
Task w/ Subtasks and Notice
Client Request and Questionnaire
eSign Request and Notice
💡 Tip: If the Edit Status option is unavailable, try selecting only one task type or a compatible group.
Edit Priority in Bulk
Assigning priorities to tasks helps you stay organized by identifying which tasks are most urgent and which can wait. You can set a task’s priority to High, Medium, Low, or No Priority. All task types can have their priority updated together using bulk actions.
Edit Task Dates in Bulk
You can update Due Dates and Start Dates for multiple tasks at once using bulk actions. All task types support bulk date updates.
To edit dates in bulk:
Multi-select the tasks you want to update.
Click Edit Dates from the bulk actions menu.
Choose Due Date or Start Date from the Date Type dropdown.
Click the Select a New Date field and pick a date from the calendar.
Click Add date to confirm your selection.
Click Update to apply the changes.
💡 Want to see which tasks you're updating? Click the number next to Editing Dates for: X tasks to view the list.
Heads up! If you change the date on a recurring task, that change will carry over to all future instances. For example, if you update the due date on a yearly recurring task to October 15th, all future recurrences will now be set to October 15th.
Edit Assignee(s) in Bulk
You can update assignees in bulk, making it easy to reassign work across multiple tasks at once. Bulk assignee updates are supported for all task types.
Assignees can be updated as individual team members or by assigning Roles.
End Task Recurrences in Bulk
Tasks can be set to recur, but you may want to stop one or more from recurring.
To end task recurrences in bulk:
Multi-select the tasks you want to stop from recurring.
Click End Task Recurrences from the bulk actions menu.
💡 Note: This action only works on the primary recurring task—which is the most recently generated task in the recurrence cycle.
Archive Tasks in Bulk
When tasks are no longer needed, they can be archived. Tasks can remain archived Archived tasks are stored indefinitely—they won’t be deleted automatically.
You can either delete them manually from the archived list or move them back to your active task list at any time.
💡 Note: After archiving tasks, a temporary notification will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can click Undo in the notification to reverse the action.
