The Tasks Dashboard displays key task details—status, task name, task type, client, date, date type, and assignees. Use the Task List to sort, filter, pin, bulk-update tasks, and view or manage subtasks.

Use the Tasks List
Click Work on the global navigation bar.
In the slide-in panel, click Task List.
Add New Sortable Columns
Additional columns can be added to refine your ability to sort and filter tasks.
For detailed steps on creating filter views and adding sortable columns, refer to the Create New Filter Views article.
Show or Hide Subtasks
Subtasks can be expanded or collapsed directly on the Task List.
Navigate to Task List.
Click the Options menu (three-dot icon) in the top-right corner.
Click Subtasks to toggle visibility.
A green checkmark means subtasks are shown.
No checkmark means subtasks are hidden.
View Hidden Subtasks
When subtasks are hidden, you can still view them for an individual task.
Locate a task with subtasks.
A small indicator shows completed vs. total subtasks.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the task name to expand its subtasks.
Click the arrow again to collapse the section.
Copy a Task
Right-click the task you want to copy.
Select Copy task.
Update task fields as needed in the copy window.
The task name will display as (copy) [Task Name] until edited.
Click Copy and manage to open the task workspace, or Copy and close to save and return to the dashboard.
Bulk Actions
Bulk actions apply to:
Archive
End task recurrences
Change status
Change priority
Change assignee
Apply filters as needed to isolate the tasks you want to update.
Select tasks using one of the following methods:
Ctrl + click to select individually
Shift + click to select a continuous range
Right-click the selected tasks.
Choose the desired action from the menu.
Assigning team members to multiple subtasks
Filter by Task Type: Subtasks.
Select subtasks.
Right-click and update assignees.
Manage a Task
Archive a Task
Right-click the task.
Select Archive.
Confirm by clicking Archive in the pop-up.
The task moves to Archived Tasks.
Restore Archived Tasks
Click the Options icon on the Tasks Dashboard.
Select Archived Tasks.
Click Move to active for any task you want to restore.
Click Done when finished.
Delete Archived Tasks
Open Archived Tasks from the Options menu.
Click Delete next to the task you want to remove permanently.
Use the search field to locate specific tasks.
Click Done to close the window.
Export Tasks
Exports generate a CSV file stored in My Files, with an email or badge notification.
Navigate to Work > Task List.
Select any view (default or filter view).
Click the Options menu.
Select Export filtered tasks or Export all tasks.
A pop-up confirms the export is processing.
Open the file from your email/badge notification, or go to My Files to preview or download it.
Troubleshooting
Subtasks not appearing? Try the following:
1. Check Task List settings
Ensure Subtasks is checked in the three-dot options menu.
2. Try Incognito Mode
Log into Canopy in a private/incognito window.
See if subtasks appear.
If they do, your browser cache may be causing the issue.
3. Clear Cache and Cookies
Open browser settings.
Select Clear Browsing Data.
Clear cached images/files and cookies.
Restart the browser and return to Canopy.
Finding subtasks without due dates
Sort tasks by Due Date and check the no date box.
Ensure Subtasks visibility is enabled.
Reconfirm subtask visibility any time you switch browsers or clear cache.
