Purpose
To visualize the dollar value of unbilled work-in-progress (WIP) by staff member, broken down into service items such as Tax, Audit, Bookkeeping, or Advisory. This gives the firm visibility into where revenue is tied up, which staff are carrying the largest unbilled balances, and what type of services those balances come from.

Need-to-know Glossary of Terms
Time Entry Billed Date - Date time entry was added/linked to an invoice.
Time Entry Billable Amount - Duration of time entry multiplied by rate.
Time Entry is Billable - True if billable, false if not.
Client is Active - True if active, false if not.
Time Entry Hours - Length of time entry.
Time Entry User Name - The name of the team member who logged time.

Time Entry Billed Date filter - Filtered to only include time entries that have not yet been billed
Time Entry is Billable filter - Filtered for time entries that are billable only
Client is Active filter - Filtered to include active clients only
Y~axis - Time Entry User Name
X~axis - Time Entry Billable Amount
Legend - Service Item Name sliced by color
Tips & Tricks
The legend on the right hand side is a list of all service items your team members have been working on. If you want to exclude one of these service items from the total number of unbilled revenue, simply click on the service item in the legend and it will remove it temporarily from the visualization.

Primary Use Case Scenario
A Team Lead uses this report during monthly meetings to identify team members with the highest unbilled revenue exposure and understand which service items are driving those balances (e.g., Tax vs. Audit).
Actionable Insights
Ensure managers can follow up with staff who consistently have large unbilled balances understand whether certain services generate more unbilled backlogs.
