Use Siri With the Mobile App
Updated over a week ago

What's in this Article

The practitioner mobile app now supports three specific Siri commands: Text, Call, and Email.

Important Notes:

  • If a client has no phone number attached to their record and you try to call or text them via Siri, it won't work. The client needs a number to carry out these actions.

  • If you try to contact a client with a difficult or non-traditionally spelled name, Siri may not understand right away. If this happens, Siri will show you how it thinks the name should be spelled. Then you can choose to go in and adjust the name and continue with the flow.

Set Up Siri

1. When you open the mobile app, a message will pop up with an option to Continue to setup.

If you select Skip for now, you can always go to your settings and set up Siri commands in Siri Shortcuts.

With calling, you don't need to set up a shortcut. This one works from the get-go! You just need to make sure you say "using Canopy" or "with Canopy" when giving Siri the command.

Send a Text

1. While in the app, activate Siri and say your previously recorded phrase to text a client.

As long as you create a shortcut for text, you can trigger the command outside of the app as well. You don't have to be in the app for it to work.
