YTD Client Count by Billed Service

Purpose

To show the number of unique clients billed year-to-date, broken down by service type (e.g. Tax, Audit, Bookkeeping, etc.). This provides a quick, visual understanding of which services are reaching the largest share of the firm’s client base.

Need-to-know Glossary of Terms

  • Client Count - The total number of unique individuals and businesses

  • Service Item Name - Refers to the designation used to identify the specific service billed to the client.


Report Structure Overview

  • Service Item Name filter - Filters out any service items with {Null} as the name

  • Invoice Date filter - Filtered for invoices dated this year

  • Values - Segmented by Service Item Name

If you hover over each pie slice, you will see a pop-up showing the client count associated with each service item.


Primary Use Case Scenario

A Manager reviews this report during quarterly strategy meetings to identify which services have the widest client adoption and spot opportunities to cross-sell services to clients who currently only use one type of service.


Actionable Insights

Identification of services with high client counts but potentially low revenue per client, versus high-value, low-volume services.
