Edit Time Entries in Bulk
Updated over 3 months ago

You now have the option to select time entries in bulk and switch them to a specific client or service item. This helps you have some flexibility on which client to bill when several clients relate to one entity.

As an Admin, you can bulk edit the client or service item on time entries. We're sure you don't want to waste time making edits by clicking each time entry one by one. This is a great tool to use when a team member enters incorrect clients/service items in a Time Entry. Or, your firm may decide to bill a different client that is still under the same entity.

You can edit time entries in bulk from the Time Entries dashboard or from the Time Entries tab in a Client Record.

Edit Time Entries in Bulk From the Time Entries Dashboard

1. In the sidebar of Canopy, select Time, then Time Entries.

2. Under the Saved Time section, add filters to narrow your search.

3. Select the checkbox next to each needed time entry.

4. On the top right of the Saved Time table select the Assign client icon.

Clicking this opens up a window where you can search for the client to transfer the time entries. Bear in mind that assigning a new client will remove any associated task/subtask!
