In order to manage files from Canopy Mobile, be sure you have paired your Canopy account with your preferred mobile device.
Search Files
Please Note: You must have access to the Client to search for their files.
1. Log into the app and tap the Files tab.
2. Choose from Client Files, Internal Files, or My Files to begin a search.
3. Tap the Search bar.
4. Enter a search term for any folder or file.
You can search by file name or file type.
5. Tap the applicable folder or file name.
After opening a folder, tap a file to preview or tap the 3 dot icon for more document management options.
Add a File
1. Tap Files.
2. Select one of the available options:
Client Files, Internal Files, or My Files.
3. Choose Client Files, Internal Files, or My Files.
4. In Client Files, tap the plus icon (+). In Internal Files or My Files, tap the Files button.
In Client Files, tap the plus icon (+) in the upper right corner.
In Internal Files or My Files, tap the blue Files button in the lower right corner.
5. Select an upload file method.
6. Select files and rename if needed.
7. Tap Done to complete the upload.
8. Tap View to preview the file(s).
A popup confirms the upload. Tap View in the pop up to preview the file(s).
Scan a Document to the Canopy Practitioner App
Files can be added to Canopy by scanning a photo with your phone camera.
1. Navigate to Client Files, Internal Files or My Files and tap the add file button.
2. Tap Scan with camera.
3. Using the camera on your mobile device, take a photo of the file you wish to upload to Canopy.
Adjust the blue box to fit your scan document.
Tap the checkmark or shutter icon.
The images are stored on the bottom left. Click in that area to retake the image if needed.
3. The camera will continue to scan until you select Save (x) on the bottom right.
4. Input a name for the file and tap Done.
Preview and Share Files
From the preview screen, you have the option to share, export, archive, and sometimes print a file.
1. Log into the Canopy mobile app and tap Files.
2. Tap a File to view.
If you cannot preview the file in Canopy, you will be prompted to Export it in order to preview it.
Tap and hold, or long-press, a file to preview the first page without having to fully open it in the app!
Please Note: The ability to preview password-protected files is now available in the mobile app. Simply select the file, enter the password to the file on the pop-up, and you are good to go! Bear in mind that you will need to provide a password each time you open the file.
3. Tap the Options icon.
4. Select the applicable option.
Create New Folder.
1. Log into the Canopy mobile app and tap Files.
2. Select the applicable option from:
Client Files, Internal Files, or My Files.
3. Tap the add Files button.
4. Tap Create new folder.
5. Enter a folder name in the field provided.
6. Tap Done to create the folder.
Organize Files Into Folders
Easily move files from one folder to another from your mobile device.
1. Go to Files in the Canopy mobile app and tap the 3 dot icon next to the file you wish to move.
2. Select the applicable option:
Rename will enable you to enter a new title for the file.
Move will give you the option to move the file to a new folder.
3. Tap Move to organize the file in a folder.
4. Tap the applicable Folder.
