Client Portal Invitations contain a message in the initial email to clients - where they will find login information.
It could be helpful to provide a standardized email message when inviting your firm’s clients to the client portal.
Example: You might include instructions for what they will see in the portal or an explanation of how it is used to exchange information with them.
It might also be useful to make a template with information that they will also see at the client portal login - just to ensure the information is absorbed!
Create Client Portal Invitation Templates
1. Go to Templates.
2. Click Client Portal Invitation in the list.
3. Select Add Template.
4. Give the template a name.
5. Indicate if you want to share this with your team or keep it private.
6. Type your template message.
7. Once finished, click Save.
Apply Client Portal Invitation Templates
Client Portal Invitations only apply to client portal invitations. In the Client & Contact Structure, you can send portal invites for all contacts under one client. Follow the next steps to apply a template and send it to a client!
1. Navigate to a Client Record.
2. Over the Contacts section, click the three stacked dots.
3. Select Invite contacts to client portal.
4. In the window that opens, toggle on the option to Include a personalized message.
5. After toggling, click Templates.
6. Search for and select your preferred template.
7. And now you're ready to click Send!
You'll know the invites were sent to your clients correctly when you see a Successfully sent invitations pop-up notification at the bottom of the page.
