Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Line Item Billed Amount - This is the amount billed for the line item shown on the far right column of the invoice (this does not include taxes).

  • Line Item Assignee - The name of the team member who logged the time associated with the line item.

  • Invoice Date - The date listed on the invoice as invoice date.

  • Client Name - Customer name, if a display name exists, that will be the primary search term. If there is no display name, first and last name will be displayed.

  • Time Entry Hours - Comments on a time entry.

  • Billed Rate Formula - Calculates the sum of all Line Item Billed Amounts and divides it by the sum of all Time Entry Hours.
    sum(Line Item Billed Amount) / sum(Time Entry Hours)

  • Adjustment Formula - Calculates the sum of all Line Item Billed Amounts and subtracts the sum of all Line Item Billable Amounts.
    sum(Line Item Billed Amount) - sum(Line Item Billable Amount)

  • Line Item is Hidden - If a time entry is linked to an existing invoice, it will not appear on the invoice and therefore is considered a hidden line item.

  • Service Item Name - Refers to the designation used to identify the specific service billed to the client.

  • Invoice is Archived - True if invoice is archived, false if it is not.


Report Structure Overview

  1. Line Item is Hidden Filter - Filtering out Line Items that are 'hidden' such as linked time to an invoice.

  2. Invoice is Archived Filter - Filter showing that archived invoices are not included in the revenue totals.

  3. Line Item ID - Unique identifier for each Line Item

  4. Invoice Date - Date listed on the invoice.

  5. Invoice Number - Unique Number for each Invoice

  6. Client Name - Customer name

  7. Team Member - Equivalent as Line Item Assignee

  8. Service Item - Equivalent of Service Item Name

  9. Hours - Equivalent of Time Entry Hours

  10. Billable Amount - Equivalent of Line Item Billable Amount

  11. Billed Amount - Equivalent of Line item Billed Amount

  12. Adjustment - Line Item Billed Amount (-) Line Item Billable Amount

  13. Billed Rate - Line Item Billed Amount/Time Entry Hours

  14. Invoice Total - Includes all line item totals, discounts, and tax

  15. Time Entry Notes - Commons on a time entry


Suggested Modifications: Only want to see invoices during a specific date range?

  1. Hover over the column Daily Invoice Date and click on the ellipses that appears.

  2. Select Filter.

  3. You'll have two options to select from, a rolling date filter or a fixed point in time.

  4. Select the option that fits your need and press Apply.

  5. You'll see the date filter bubble at the top of your report.
