Purpose

To visualize the volume of completed subtasks each month, segmented by task type, in order to track trends, performance, and workload distribution over time.

Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Subtask ID - ID assigned ot a subtask, every subtask has unique ID. This can be used to separate subtasks that may have the exact same name in Canopy.

  • Subtask Count - Number of subtasks.

  • Subtask Status - Current state of a subtask within a workflow (e.g., not started, in progress, with client, completed. etc.).

  • Subtask Completion Date - Date a subtask has a status change of completed.

  • Subtask Type - Subtask categories (client request, notice, subtask).


Report Structure Overview

  1. Subtask Status Filter - Filters for completed subtasks

  2. Subtask ID Filter - Filtering out subtasks with no or {Null} ID

  3. Subtask Completion Date Filter - Filtered for previous 365 days

  4. Y-Axis - Subtask Count

  5. X-Axis - Subtask Completion Date monthly

  6. Subtask Count Label - Number of subtasks completed for that month

  7. Leggend - Subtask types segmented by color


Suggested Modifications: Want to see how many subtasks your individual team members completed each month?

  1. Add Subtask Assignee to the search bar.

  2. Navigate to the Configure panel on the right hand side.

  3. Replace Subtask Type under Slice with color with Subtask Assignee.


Primary Use Case Scenario

An admin reviews this report during monthly planning meetings to assess productivity trends. They can determine whether the team is meeting monthly targets, identify whether more resources are needed, and evaluate staffing needs during busy seasons.


Actionable Insights

Understand team productivity over time to gauge whether task volume is increasing, decreasing, or remaining consistent. Identify seasonal trends to plan capacity and staffing needs more effectively.
