Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Subtask ID - ID assigned to a subtask, every subtask has unique ID. This can be used to separate subtasks that may have the exact same name in Canopy.

  • Subtask Count - Number of subtasks.

  • Subtask Status - Current state of a subtask within a workflow (e.g., not started, in progress, with client, completed. etc.).

Report Structure Overview

  1. Subtask ID Filter - Filtering out subtasks with no or {Null} ID

  2. Subtask Status Filter - Filters for completed subtasks

  3. Subtask Status Slices - Displays subtask status, subtask count in that status, and percentage of whole

Primary Use Case Scenario

A department manager reviews this report during a weekly check-in to understand the distribution of open subtasks by status. For example, if a large percentage of subtasks are stuck in "Waiting on Client," the manager may coordinate with team members to follow up.

Actionable Insights

Immediate visibility into how work is progressing across open subtasks and support workload rebalancing if too many subtasks are still in "not started" or "in progress".
