How do I use Task Tags & Client Tags in the Tasks List?

Updated today

Client Tag and Task Tag columns can now be added to the Tasks List. These columns let you quickly filter work by client-level tags or task-level tags to streamline task review and workload segmentation.

Client tags must be managed from the client record. Task tags can be created, added, or removed directly from the Tasks List, the task workspace, or within task templates.

Why it Matters

Tags allow firms to segment work faster—especially during high-volume periods like tax season. You can group tasks by client attributes (e.g., 1099, Monthly Bookkeeping, High-Priority) or by task attributes (e.g., Q4, Review Needed).

  4. Select Customize task list.

  5. Toggle on Client tags and/or Task tags.
