How-to Video: Navigate the Engagements List

Updated today

How Do I Use the Engagement List?

The Engagement List helps you track and manage the status of all client engagements in one centralized view.

Why This Matters

Engagements are a core part of firm workflows. The Engagement List gives you visibility into what’s active, what’s awaiting client acceptance, and what’s still in draft—so nothing slips through the cracks.

Table of Contents

Navigate to the Engagement List

  1. Click Tasks in the global navigation.

  2. Select Engagements List.

Understand Engagement List Tabs

The Engagement List is organized into tabs to help you quickly locate engagements by status.

  • Active – Engagements with a status of Active

  • All Engagements – All engagements, including drafts

  • Awaiting Acceptance – Engagements sent to clients and pending approval or rejection

  • Proposals – Drafted engagements that have not been sent

Review Engagement List Columns

Each tab displays the same set of columns.

  • Engagement Name – Click to open and review engagement details

  • Client Name – Click to open the client’s record

  • Service Items – Service items included in the engagement

  • Engagement Items – Any engagement-specific items included

  • Assignees – Team members assigned to the engagement

  • Status – Draft, Awaiting Acceptance, Partially Accepted, Active, Completed, or Closed

  • Start Date / End Date

  • Creation Date

  • Acceptance Date

Customize the Engagement List

Resize Columns

  • Hover between two column headers until the cursor changes to arrows.

  • Click and drag to adjust the column width.

Reorder Columns

  • Click and drag a column header to move it to a new position.

Filter the Engagement List

Filters help you narrow the list as your number of engagements grows.

Apply Filters

  1. Click the dropdown arrow next to a column header.

  2. Choose how to sort the column (for example, alphabetical or by date).

  3. Select specific values to filter by.

  4. Click Apply.

Tip
To remove a filter, open the same dropdown, click Clear, and select Apply.

Pagination Controls

  • Use the controls at the bottom of the list to:

    • Adjust how many engagements display per page

    • Navigate between pages

Create a New Engagement

  1. Click the Create Engagement button at the top of the page.

  2. Complete the steps in the engagement creation window.

  3. Save or send the engagement as needed.

Summary

The Engagement List gives you a clear, flexible way to monitor engagement status, filter by key details, and jump directly into client or engagement records—all from one place.
