Table of contents

Find the Engagements List

  1. Click Work in the global navigation bar.

  2. Select Engagements List.

Explore the Engagements List

Saved filter views

  • Active – engagements that clients have signed/accepted.

  • All Engagements – includes everything, including drafts.

  • Awaiting Acceptance – sent to the client; waiting for their acceptance.

  • Drafts – draft engagements that haven't been sent yet.

Heads up: When an engagement is sent but not yet accepted, its status is Awaiting Acceptance. After the client accepts, it switches to Active.

Action bar

  • Shows a running count of engagements that match your current filters; updates as you add/remove filters.

Columns (sortable & rearrangeable)

  • Engagement name, Client name, Service items, Engagement items, Assignee(s), Status, Start date, End date, Creation date, Accepted date, Tasks.

  • Drag to reorder columns; resize column widths as needed.

Filters & pagination

  • Filter any column using the arrow in its header.

Canopy Tip: Click the arrow in the column header to open filter options.

  • Use pagination controls at the bottom to move between pages and set page size (50 / 100 / 200).

Explore the Engagement Workspace

When you click an engagement name in the list, you’ll open the Engagement Workspace — the main page for viewing and managing engagement details.

Engagement Details

At the top of the page, you’ll see the Engagement Details section, which includes:

  • Assignees — Lists all assignees on the engagement.
Click the + icon to add additional assignees.

  • Signers — Displays the engagement signers and their signing status.

  • Dates — Shows when the engagement was sent, starts, and was accepted.

  • Services — Lists all services included in the engagement.

  • Status indicator — Located in the upper-right corner, showing whether the engagement is Active, Draft, or Awaiting Acceptance.

Tabs Below Engagement Details

Below the Engagement Details section, you’ll find three tabs:

  • Manage Tasks — Displays tasks related to the engagement or created automatically upon acceptance.

    • Click a task name to open its workspace.

    • Click + Add task to add additional tasks to the engagement.

  • Services — Lists all services included in the engagement with details such as:

    • Total value

    • Service name

    • Billing mode (manual or automatic)

    • Price per service

    • Tax rate

    • Billing frequency and billing type (on acceptance or recurring)

  • Client View — Shows a live preview of the engagement, as your client sees it.

Workspace Actions

In the upper-right corner of the Engagement Workspace, you’ll see several quick actions:

  • Client name – Click to open the client’s record.

  • Download – Download the engagement as a PDF.

  • Duplicate – Make a copy of the engagement.

    • You can send it to the same client or change the client before sending.

    • The Engagement Edit modal will open, allowing you to make adjustments before saving or sending.

  • More options (⋯) – Includes the Archive button to archive the engagement.

Finally, click the Back button in the upper-left corner to return to the Engagements List.

  5. Watch for the bottom-of-screen confirmation that sending has started; a second confirmation appears when sending completes.

  2. Use the checkboxes to select the target clients.

  3. Click the More (⋯) menu next to the bulk actions and choose Create engagements.

  6. Choose Save & Send to send now or Save as draft to send later.

  7. Review the confirmation popup and click Continue.

Note: There’s also a blue Create engagement button on the top-right of the Engagements List for one-off creation.

  2. Click to open the engagement.

  3. Click the Archive icon.

    • ✅ The engagement moves to Archived.

  2. Select Archived engagements.

  3. Open an item to manage it:

    • Unarchive – returns it to active lists.

    • Delete permanently – removes it after a confirmation popup.

Troubleshooting & tips

  • Can I see if a client viewed an engagement? Not currently; view-tracking isn’t available.

  • Why is my engagement “Awaiting Acceptance”? It has been sent but not yet accepted by the client. It’ll switch to Active after acceptance.

  • Filters not opening? Make sure you’re clicking the small arrow in the column header.

  • Don’t see Engagements? Ask an admin to confirm your Work > Engagements access.

Summary

The Engagements List is your command center for engagements: find items fast with filters & columns, bulk-send drafts during busy periods, and keep things tidy with archiving. Use the saved views (Active, All, Awaiting Acceptance, Proposals) to stay focused and keep work moving.
