Client Credits are a consumption-based pricing model that let firms pay only for the clients who use Smart Intake or Engagements. A single credit unlocks unlimited usage of the related feature set for one client during your subscription period.
Client Credits apply to:
AI-generated Questionnaires
AI Questionnaire Pre-fill (Respond with AI)
AI-generated Document Checklists
Engagements (any Engagement sent)
Required Plan, License, and Permissions
Available to firms using Smart Intake and/or Engagements.
All firms receive 5 free Smart Intake credits and 5 free Engagement credits to try the features.

How Client Credits Work
Client Credits are assigned per client, not per action.
Once a credit is applied to a client, that client can use all features in the corresponding category (Smart Intake or Engagements) for the remainder of your subscription period at no additional cost.
Smart Intake Credits
A Smart Intake credit is used when you perform any of the following actions for a client:
Create an AI-generated questionnaire
Convert a document to a questionnaire using AI
Create an AI-generated document checklist
Enable Respond with AI (AI Pre-fill)
Engagement Credits
An Engagement credit is used when you:
Send an Engagement (credit applies whether or not the client signs)
One credit = unlimited usage for that client until your subscription renews.
Where to View Credit Balances
The Account Management page includes two sections:
Smart Intake Credits
Engagement Credits
Each section displays:
Free credits applied (firms begin with 5 free per category)
Credits used
Credits purchased
How to Purchase Credits
Navigate to Profile icon > Settings.
Select Account Management from the side menu.
Click Purchase credits.
Enter the number of credits to purchase (minimum 25).
Review the Terms of Use.
Click Continue to complete the purchase.
Note: Credit purchases are pro-rated and renew with your subscription cycle.
When Credits Are Applied
A credit is applied as soon as you use a Smart Intake AI feature or send an Engagement to a client.
Credits are tied to individual clients.
You do not use additional credits for subsequent actions for that same client during your current subscription period.
Example
If you send a client an Engagement (using 1 credit), that client now has an Engagement credit applied.
You may then send additional engagements, edit engagements, resend engagements to that same client without incurring extra credits.
Subscription Renewal
On your subscription renewal date:
Credits reset, and
You will need to reapply credits to clients as you use Smart Intake or Engagements again.
