Contacts and the Contact List
Updated today

Heads Up! If you see features in this video that aren’t in your account, this video may be what you're looking for instead.

Let's take a look at the contact list and how to add a contact in the client and contact structure.

The Contact List

The contact list allows you to see all your contacts in one place. This list is organized similarly to the client list. On the left, you will see the contact name and as you scroll over you can see all the information associated with each contact.

In the assigned clients column you will see all the clients this contact is associated with. You can click on any client to open the client record in a new tab.

Just like with the client list, you can customize this list too. Click on the three bars icon to select the attributes you want visible on the contact list.

You can also filter your list using each attribute.

Perhaps you want to view your contacts in alphabetical order by last name.

  • Go to the last name column and click on the arrow.

  • Sort alphabetically or you can select a condition.

  • Click apply! Poof! Now your contacts are organized in alphabetical order by last name.

Add a Contact

At the top of the list, you can click on the Add Contact button to add a new contact.

Here we are going to add the contact details. We will start with our contact's name, and then fill in the rest of their contact information. Don’t forget an email address. You can add multiple email addresses and then use the star symbol to select the primary one!

Down at the bottom, you have the option to assign this contact to clients. Since this contact is associated with an existing client, I will go ahead and add them.

Click save when you are done. Your contact will now appear on your contact list, as well as on the client record you just added.

Edit a Contact

It is easy to edit a contact. Simply right-click on their name. You can view and make any changes necessary, and don’t forget to save when you are done.

View Contacts on the Client Record

You can also view contact details from their associated client record. You can expand each contact to see their details and if they have been invited, or logged into the client portal.
