To track the number of active business clients (corporate entities, partnerships, LLCs, nonprofits, etc.) the firm is currently serving within a given period. This metirc focuses specifically on business engagement rather than individuals giving leadership insight into the firm's corporate portfolio.

Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Client Count - The total number of unique individuals and buisnesses.

  • Client Type - Customer ; options include client, prospect, and other.

  • Client is Archived - True if client is archived, false if it is not.

  • Client is Active - True if client is active, false if it is not.

  • Client is Business - True if client is active, false if it is not.


Report Structure Overview

  1. Client is Active Filter - Filtering for active clients.

  2. Client is Business Filter - Filtering for true meaning that the client is business.

  3. Client Type Filter - Filtering in client types that are designed as clients.

  4. Client is Archived Filter - Filtering out archived clients.


Suggested Modifications: Want to download the report as a CSV with the client names?

  1. Select ellipses icon near the top next to the Pin button.

  2. Select Show underlying data.

  3. Select Download CSV on the bottom left hand side.


Primary Use Case Scenario

A Partner reviews this KPI during quarterly management meetings to measure how many business clients are currently engaged with active tasks, projects, or billing and to support business development strategy by highlighting trends in acquiring or losing business clients which directly affect firm positioning in corporate services.


Actionable Insights

Helpful in assessing workload capacity by understanding how many business clients are in play, since business clients often involve larger and more complex engagements.
