Purpose

To track the number of Individual clients (as opposed to business entities) who are actively engaged with the firm during a specific period. This KPI gives leadership insight into the size and activity level of the firm's personal tax and financial services portfolio, helping balance strategy between individual and business client services.

Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Client Count - The total number of unique individuals and buisnesses.

  • Client Type - Customer ; options include client, prospect, and other.

  • Client is Archived - True if client is archived, false if it is not.

  • Client is Active - True if client is active, false if it is not.

  • Client is Business - True if client is active, false if it is not.


Report Structure Overview

  1. Client is Active Filter - Filtering for active clients.

  2. Client is Business Filter - Filtering for true meaning that the client is business.

  3. Client Type Filter - Filtering in client types that are designed as clients.

  4. Client is Archived Filter - Filtering out archived clients.


Suggested Modifications: Want to download the report as a CSV with the client names?

  1. Select ellipses icon near the top next to the Pin button.

  2. Select Show underlying data.

  3. Select Download CSV on the bottom left hand side.


Primary Use Case Scenario

Operations Managers use this KPI during quarterly to forecast workload and staffing needs since individuals typically create high-volume but lower-complexity work compared to business clients.


Actionable Insights

Comparing active individuals to active business clients provides insight into the firm's revenue mix and strategy.
