Purpose

To analyze the firm's client base by age demographics, showing how many active clients fall into different age brackets. This gives leadership visibility into client portfolio composition, helps assess generational reach, and supports planning for future services tailored to client needs at different life stages.

Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Client Count - The total number of unique individuals and businesses.

  • Birthdate - Client Birthdate.

  • Client is Active - True if client is active, false if it is not.

  • Client Age - Client's current age.

  • Client is Archived - True if client is archived, false if it is not.


Report Structure Overview

  1. Birthdate Filter - Filtering out clients with no birthrate.

  2. Client is Active Filter - Filtering for active clients.

  3. Client Age Filter - Filtering for clients with ages between 0 and 120.

  4. Client is Archived Filter - Filtering out archived clients.


Suggested Modifications: Prefer to see a table chart that shows the client name and their age?

  1. Add Client Name to the search bar and press Go.

  2. Select the Table Chart icon at the top of the report next to the share button.

  3. Navigate to the Configure button on the right hand side.

  4. Drag Client Count to the Hidden Columns section at the bottom

  5. Press Apply.

The Marketing Team uses this report in planning sessions to understand the age distribution of the client base and identify potential gaps in generational coverage.


Actionable Insights

Can help with client retention and risk by being able to quickly identify age brackets. If most clients are in older brackets, the firm may need to focus on building relationships with younger generations.
