Review your time entries in Canopy after the import to confirm they arrived correctly and match your records, then notify your Data Migration Specialist.
Why it matters: The import may need adjustments — missing entries, incorrect hours, wrong service items, or time tracked to the wrong client. Catching these now ensures your billing data is accurate before your team starts working.

Review Your Imported Time Entries
Go to Time > Time Entries.
Check the Hours Tracked total at the top of the page. It should match:
The combined billed and non-billed hours from your WIP import
The corresponding billable amount in your workbook
Your prior system's total
If you've added new time entries since the import, filter to see only the imported entries:
Click the three-dot menu to the right of Add Time Entry.
Select Export Filtered List.
Choose All Time, then click Continue.
Select the appropriate CSV download option and choose Do Not Convert CSV.
Once the file downloads, open it and sort by column J (Added By).
Filter to show only entries created by Implementation Team — these are the ones your Data Migration Specialist imported.
Review this list to confirm all expected time entries are present and the hours, dates, and service items are correct.
Request Changes if Needed
Skip this section if the imported time entries match your records and no changes are needed.
If you spotted discrepancies or missing entries, you have two options depending on the scope:
For large changes:
Update your original WIP Workbook with the corrections.
Use the secure upload link from your Data Migration Specialist to resend the updated file.
For minor changes:
Create a detailed list or note of the corrections needed.
Email it directly to your Data Migration Specialist.
Confirm Import Completion
Within 7 business days of reviewing the time entries, email your Data Migration Specialist to let them know:
You've reviewed the imported WIP
You're satisfied with the import (or that changes have been submitted)
They'll confirm with your Implementation Specialist that you're ready for the next migration steps.
