Heads Up! If you see features in this video that aren’t in your account, this article may be what you're looking for instead.
Let’s take a quick look at the Client Record in the Client & Contact structure.
The Client Record
You can view a client record by clicking on the client’s name in the client list.
Once you are in the client record, off to the left you will see a summary of the client information including the filing status, custom fields, and tags.
Underneath you will see all of the contacts associated with the client.
You can add more contacts here, or view contact details by using the arrow to expand. This is where you can also send and manage client portal invites!
You can edit both the client info and contact information by clicking on the pencil icon.
This home page also gives you a glance at any active tasks, recent files, notes, active resolution cases, and upcoming events.
Tabs
You can dive deeper into your client record by using the tabs at the top to navigate to different areas within the client record.
Home
Communication
Notes
Files
Tasks
Resolution Cases
Organizers
Billing
Time Entries
As you navigate to each tab you will notice you have the option to view client info by clicking on the blue text at the top. This will allow you to stay on the current tab but quickly glance at both the client info, and all the contacts, just like you could from the home page. This is great if you need to reference their information, or make any edits without leaving the tab you are working from!
At the top right of the client record, you can view and manage which team members are assigned to this client. Click on the blue button (the person with a plus sign icon) to see which roles have been assigned to team members. You can make any adjustments necessary including creating new roles if needed!
Don’t forget to save when you’re done.
You have a few more options to help manage your client by clicking on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner.
You can edit, archive, or delete.
