Configure Outstanding Balances on Invoice PDFs

What’s new?
Generate client-specific document requests with AI:

  • Draft with AI using prompts like “Generate a checklist for 2025 return based on prior submissions.”

  • Optionally upload a file (return, statement, workpaper) for added context.

  • Layer in templates, assign due dates, and set reminders.

  • Create AI-powered checklists one-by-one or in bulk.

Why it matters
This is one of Canopy’s biggest AI releases to date. Firms save time building tailored request lists, while clients receive more accurate, context-driven checklists.


Enhanced Uploads & Dynamic Checklists in Questionnaires

What’s new?

  • Enhanced Checklist Uploads:

    • Provided Elsewhere option when a document is already on file.

    • Bulk upload with AI sorting to auto-match files to requests.

  • Dynamic Checklists in Questionnaires:

    • Files requested in questionnaires automatically consolidate into a checklist section at the end.

    • Conditional logic ensures only required files appear.

These improvements streamline intake for clients and practitioners—clarity for clients, faster processing for firms.

What’s new?

  • Pro Tenants can now opt into Canopy Data Hub (Experimental).

  • Previously-created engagements and templates remain unchanged.

Why it matters
Firms now manage services from a single source of truth, simplifying administration and ensuring consistency across engagements and invoices.
