To monitor and compare each team member's billed hours and the corresponding revenue they generate each month, providing visibility into individual productivity and performance.

Need-to-Know Glossary of Terms

  • Line Item Billed Amount - This is the amount billed for the line item showsn on the far right column of the invoice (this does not include taxes).

  • Service Item Name - Refers to the designation used to identify the specific service billed to the client.

  • Client Name - Customer name, if a display name exists, that will be the primary search term. If there is no display name, first and last name will be displayed.

  • Invoice Date - The date listed on the invoice as Invoice Date.

  • Time Entry Billable Amount - This is the amount the time entry could be billed based on the current service/user rate. If the time entry has already been billed, this rate gets locked in place based on what the rates were on the invoice date.

  • Line Item Assignee - The name of the team member who logged the time associated with the line item.

  • Billable Revenue Formula - The sum of Time Entry Billable Amount.
    sum(Time Entry Billable Amount)

  • Billed Revenue Formula - The sum of Time Entry Billed Amount.
    sum(Time Entry Billed Amount)

  • Hours Billed Formula - The sum of Time Entry Hours.
    sum(Time Entry Hours)

  • Time Entry Hours - This is a measure of time entry hours that have been billed.

  • Invoice is Archived - True if invoice is archived, false if it is not.


Report Structure Overview

  1. Invoice Date Filter - Filtered for the previous 365 days (1 year)

  2. Invoice is Archived Filter - Filter showing that archived invoices are not included in the revenue totals

  3. Row - Line Item Assignee

  4. Expanded Row Level 2 - Service Item Name

  5. Expanded Row Level 3 - Client Name

  6. Column - Invoice Date monthly for the previous 365 days

  7. Values - Hours Billed formula (sum of time entry hours)

  8. Values - Billable Revenue formula (sum of time entry billable amount)

  9. Values - billed Revenue formula (sum of time entry billed amount)

  10. Grand Total - Total for each row


Suggested Modifications: Want to expand all rows in a level at the same time?

  1. Navigate to one of the values in a row and right-click on the name.

  2. Midway down, you'll see an option for Expand this level.

  3. When you click that, it will expand all rows in that level.

  4. Use the same process to Collapse all rows in a level.



Primary Use Case Scenario

Team Managers can use this report to evaluate team member workload versus biling efficiency and identify top performers and underutilized staff.


Actionable Insights

Pinpoint team members who consistently generate high revenue relative to hours worked-ideal for recognition or promotion opportunities. Detect inefficiencies where hours billed are high, but revenue return is low, useful for training or performance coaching.
