Social Sign-on
Single sign-on (SSO) lets you sign in to Canopy using your existing Google or Microsoft account instead of a separate Canopy password.
Available to: All Canopy users — no admin setup or plan upgrade required.
Logging in with SSO reduces the friction of managing a separate Canopy password and lets you use the same account verification you already rely on for Google or Microsoft — including your existing 2-step verification.
Heads up! When using SSO you will still be required to authenticate using 2-Step verification for both your Google/Microsoft account and Canopy account every 30 days.

Link Your SSO Account to Canopy
Complete these steps once to connect your Google or Microsoft account to Canopy. After linking, you can use SSO for all future sign-ins.
Navigate to the Canopy login page.
Select an SSO method: Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft.
Select your Google or Microsoft account.
Enter your password, then click Next.
Enter your 2-Step Verification code, then click Next.
Check your email inbox for a confirmation message from Canopy and click Confirm Sign-In.
You must open this email within 15 minutes or the link will expire.
On the confirmation page, check the checkbox to confirm your sign-in, then click Confirm Sign-In.
Your SSO account is now linked to Canopy!
Sign In With SSO After Linking
Navigate to the Canopy login page.
Click Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft.
Select your Google or Microsoft account.
If you have more than one Canopy account associated with that email, select the account you want to sign into.
Does SSO Work on the Mobile App?
Yes. You can Link your SSO account to Canopy via the Canopy Practitioner App, and login with SSO once your account is linked.
