March 2025

The following release notes are up-to-date as of April 1st, 2025

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Time & Billing

Partial refunds are now available for processed customer payments. Please note:

  • Payments must be fully processed before a refund can be issued.

  • A $0.20 processing fee applies to each refund transaction.

  • Payment cancellations are not currently supported. You must wait for full processing before issuing any refund.

For consistent invoice numbering, Canopy enables you to set your starting invoice sequence. Please note, this is a permanent, one-time setting, and should be configured during your initial Canopy setup. To continue from your previous system, where invoices ended at 2045, begin your Canopy sequence with 2046.

A new 'Total Time' column has been added to the task list. This column displays the combined time spent on the parent task and its subtasks, providing a comprehensive view compared to the 'Time' column, which only shows the parent task's time.

PDF WIP reports automatically total client data, unlike CSV exports. To include client totals in CSV exports, enable the 'Enhanced WIP Beta' feature in Experimental Features.

Document Management

eSign documents now support text fields, enabling clients to provide typed information. For best results, we recommend keeping text entries short, though there's no enforced character limit. Click and drag the upper right corner of the text box to change the size.

Workflow

Now you can update Due Dates and Start Dates for multiple tasks at once using bulk actions in the Task List.

Engagements

You can send Engagements to multiple clients at once either from the client list or from the Drafts tab in your Engagements section.

You can now include a Proposal Intro Message in Engagement details, allowing you to provide context or instructions to your client regarding the proposal.

Questionnaires

You can now edit questionnaires after sending them to clients, eliminating the need to send a new version for revisions.
